Campbook

Hi everyone!

Here I'd like to share with you what I've recently made.
It's a kind of sketchbook to accompany me to the camp I'm going to. It has come out a little bigger than I used to make, but it's nice because I'll have more creative freedom :)

I used craft brown paper for the pages, orange cardboard for the cover and dark red paper for the envelope inside.  All the creatures are drawn with a black gel pen.
The beetle inside is my favourite detail :) I'd open that envelope again and again haha :)

For My Friend Kris

Hi!

Today I have a couple of sketches like the two I shared with you in the previous post. I find it very good to draw something every day. I don't know why; it just brings the feeling of calmness, it's like a meditation a little bit (I did try to meditate)

Oh yes! I nearly forgot. A friend of mine, Kris, she loves lemons very much. So, the lemon sketch is dedicated to her.

After Hours

Hi! I haven't been here really long. During that period a lot of good things happened :)

Now I'm back with a few quick sketches I made today in the morning when my sister and I had a picnic. 

It was really fine: we'd prepared some tasty things and cold tea and my sister played ukulele while I was busy drawing :) (Sorry, the pics are not great)

There was something that was very funny: a terribly giant grasshopper jumped right on our blanket and it scared us sooo much that we immediately changed our disposition. I'm really afraid of grasshoppers of any size :)

Notebook

Hi!

I've tried bookbinding a couple of times but I've never shared it here. So here is my latest thing. But again I'm not quite satisfied with the result. Some of the sheets are not firmly attached to each other...

But that is the reason to keep trying.

But the thing I really like in this notebook is the feather :) Hope you like it too.
Oh also there are pages of brown coloured paper with lovely papercuts inside (sorry, I forgot to take pictures of them)

Little Love

Hi!

Though it's January (but it's almost over!) I've started some preparations for St Valentine's Day. In fact, nothing really special, just a pack of simple cards for friends :)

I wanted the process of making these cards be really easy in order to do many cards in short time.

So, all I had to do was just to print the words and cut the stencil. And then, using a sponge and acrylic colour named Aztec Gold I printed all the cards. And to finish the look I added some pretty twine. Done!

It's as simple as can be :)

New Year Is on the Way!

Hello!

Yes, I haven't been here very long, but now when I've got some spare time I can share my holiday cards with you :) I made them within a week, but all the materials had been prepared beforehand. It was such a pleasure to a card per day. Every morning I sat down at my sewing machine, arranged all the details of the cards and so on and so on :) I was really great... and here are the results!

Friendly Wooden Cat

Ahhhh, I wish I had much more than 24 for hours a day. Well, quickly share with you one of my latest things. I was asked to make it more like a cat. The branch itself looks very much like it, you see these ears :) So everything I had to do was to paint a funny muzzle. He looks amiable, doesn't he? :)

Hi everyone!

I've already started my holiday preparations. Now I can say that I'm completely mad about New Year. And about this green + red + craft paper combination :)
It's such a pleasure to make cards for friends! I hardly can put it into words. These two are tiny ones, only 8 cm. But I have bigger ones. And yes, I like to create cards in the same style.

I was very interested in how much time it takes to create such a little card. Well, I prepared all the necessary stuff and noted the time. It took me only half an hour. So, it's a good idea of a small urgent present :)

Bits of Harvest

Hello! I'm back again after a month's break. I'm already busy with my studies :) But I found a bit of time for some creative work.

These cards are made for a Teacher's Day. I like to visit my beloved teachers from time to time. They were so kind and friendly! I do miss them. Hope they'll like these cards.

I spent a lot of time doing these flowers. May be you know any interesting ways of doing something of this kind? Will be glad if you respond.

Dreamcatcher

Hello! After four or five dull rainy days it's sunny today! And I've tried something new with my hands. It's a dreamcatcher. It's very simple to do, you don't need any special stuff and... well, it's so relaxing :)

This one is really plain but it will look great if you add some lovely beads, or seashells, or feathers (it's a pity I don't have any) or anything you want.

I'll be out till the end of August. I think I'll have a good rest, get more inspiration from nature and from meeting new people. May your last summer month will be full of warm sunshine, good creative things and everything you need to be happy.

Hello!

Recently I came across an interesting tutorial here http://duyveterok.blogspot.com/2011/05/blog-post_26.html and decided to do something of the kind myself. It's quite easy and very enjoyable. The hardest thing was to cut pieces out of cardboard, I used quite thick. Well, that's the result! I like it :) It looks shabby and ragged and cool.

Hello! I haven't been here quite long time, though I promised to show something new. Well, here I am. And my new doll, my second one. Her name is Lucy. She's sitting here thinking about... can't say for sure, but I believe she has good thoughts. That's why a bird created its comfortable nest just on Lucy's pretty little head. Hope you like her. I do :)

About Light

Hello! I'm back with a new card! But at first I should say that me sessional exams are over and now I can enjoy doing my favourite stuff to my heart's content :) If only the weather was fine.

Well, now about the card. I decided to try using a little electric bulb quite a long time ago, but I didn't have a good idea. Well now you see the result of my modest efforts to do a fun birthday card :)

In fact, I'm quite busy this week, but this is very good, because otherwise I'd be very very sad. Hope you have a lot of creative things to do. Have a good day!

Fun with Potatoes

We have such a strange weather! It's the end of March, but it looks like the beginning of December!

Well, it's not the reason to fret, because the sun is shining brightly :)

Quite long ago I read that stamps can be carved out of potatoes, though they wouldn't be long-lived. Today I tried this and it was really fun! If you like stamps carving I suggest trying :)

Just Paper

Hello! I'm back to share a new work with you.

I became keen on papercutting nearly half a year ago, but my trials were rather modest. Well, I tried some inscription with little details and then I made a simple birthday card of it. It looks lovely to me, I really love simple things :)

Little Doll

Hello again! Meet Laura!

I'm very glad to introduce my first doll. I had no experience in dool-making, and this one isn't really perfect. But as for me, she is very nice and lovely, it's hard to judge my own (and my first) work very objectively :)

So I'm just happy that she's done!

She has all things handmade: a little rug, a miniature book with pictures of flowers, her clothes and a beige beret, that I especially like.

Tomorrow Laura will meet her owner, and I hope their love will be mutual :)
